April 24, 2013

At 1111 hours, West Grove Fire Company was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on State road at School Road. Rescue 22 responded to the crash, along with Ambulance 22-2. While responding, Chester Fire Board upgraded the crash to an accident with injuries, adding medic 94-2 to the call. Chester gave a report that there were two vehicles blocking with two people injured.
Rescue 22 arrived on scene with two vehicles blocking the east bound lane of State Road. Rescue 22 was positioned so all lanes were blocked for the safety of all crews operating and Captain 22 established State Road Command. Ambulance 23-2 was dispatched to treat the second patient. Rescue 22's crew cribbed the vehicle and assisted with removing the patient from the vehicle and into the ambulance.
Both patients were transported to Christiana Hospital. Rescue 22's crew swept up debris and cleaned up the scene.
