West Grove Units Assist Newark on Fatal House Fire
Crews continue extguishment on sides A and B.
This Newark house fire claimed the life of one man, and injured another. WGFC Engines 22 and 32 responded with seven New Castle County companies on this call.
Fire continues to burn in the second floor side A bedroom.
Crews begin overhaul on side A.
Extensive damage can be seen on rear of the house.

At 513am, West Grove Fire Company was dispatched to assist Newark, Delaware's Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company on a reported fire on Fawn Drive in Newark, off Barksdale Road. There were multiple calls to the 911 Center in New Castle County reporting a working fire with a subject trapped inside.
WGFC Engines 22 and 32 responded and assisted with fire overhaul on the scene, alongside of more than eight New Castle County fire companies.
