Two vehicles hit head on along State Road in New London Township on Saturday, resulting in injuries.

The WGFC was dispatched along with Medic 94 at 4:20pm for an auto accident reported serious, with one unconscious, on State Road, near Creek Road. The first WGFC ambulance went on scene quickly reporting two vehicles crashed. Also responding were Rescue 22, Engines 22-1 and 22-3, a second WGFC ambulance, Medic 94-1, and Ladder 22.

Chief 22 arrived and established command, reporting that responders were putting hydraulic tools in service. The tools were used to remove both passenger side doors and the "B post" to give crews access to a patient. Extrication was reported a short time later.

Ambulances transported patients to both Jennersville Hospital and to the trauma center at Christiana Hospital.

Fire police had State Road closed during the incident and investigation.
