WGFC Assists Elkton with House Fire

The West Grove Fire Company was called to assist the Singerly Fire Company of Elkton on a house fire Sunday evening.

The fire on Kirkcaldy Drive was located in a subdivision near the Maryland Delaware line. Heavy fire was showing when the initial fire companies arrived, with Singerly dispatched along with nearby Aetna of Newark, and engines and tankers from Chester County West Grove and Oxford, and companies across northeast Cecil County. As the fire progressed, requests for additional tankers and ladder trucks were made.

The WGFC responded with Engine 22-1 and Tanker 22. West Grove units were on scene for approximately 2.5 hours assisting with firefighting and overhaul.
