West Grove firefighters were requested to assist on a house fire in Elkton Saturday afternoon.

The Singerly Fire Company of Elkton was dispatched just after 2:15pm for a house fire on Elk Mills Road, with units from neighboring companies called to assist. WGFC was dispatched to assist with an Engine and Tanker.

Arriving Elkton units reported fire showing on arrival. Engine 22-1 and Tanker 22 made the response, with WGFC firefighters arriving to relieve crews working on the second floor with extinguishment and significant overhaul.

WGFC units were committed for approximately three hours.
