On December 11 , units from West Grove Fire Company assisted Singerly Fire Company of Elkton with a large fire at a commercial building.

The overnight blaze was located on Blueball Road, and - according to news reports -- was home to Tiffin Matts, an athletic sports mats manufacturing business. More than 100 firefighters from three states were involved. WGFC was originally dispatched for a Ladder and Engine, and also responded with Tanker 22 to assist with water supply. WGFC units were on scene for more than six hours, helping coordinate rural water supply, an operation that flowed more than 180,000 gallons of water.
