West Grove's tanker was requested to join with a dozen other fire departments to assist the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun on Thursday morning just after 1 am for a commercial fire.

Units from Cecil, Harford, Lancaster, Chester and York counties were involved in a large scale water supply operation to fight a hay bale fire at the West Coast Mushroom Farm on Hopewell Road in Rising Sun. WGFC's Tanker 22 hauled nine (9) loads of water which made up over 31,000 gallons of water as part of a rural water supply operation over several hours that delivered some 300,000 gallons of water for the fire fight.

Tanker 22 was committed for approximately 6.5 hours.
