On Monday, firefighters from the West Grove Fire Company joined with firefighters from four other departments in assisting Aetna Hook, Hose & Ladder of Newark (7, 8, 9) on a fire in the 900 block of New London Road, just across the state line in Delaware.

Firefighters fought a blaze in five greenhouses, a shed and camper, all of which were burning and extending into a large garage. WGFC Engine 22-2 arrived to assist in firefighting and shuttling water as the rural area is not served by fire hydrants. Units were on scene for several hours.
