With annual Fire Prevention activities underway across the area (and the country), Fire Company open houses are a regular occurrence. One of the regular open houses is at the Minquas Fire Company of Newport, Delaware, located in the suburbs of Wilmington along James Street near the busy highways of Interstate 95 and Delaware Route 141.
West Grove Fire Company was among the Fire Companies invited to show apparatus for the Minquas Annual Open House. Tanker 22 was proudly displayed with apparatus from New Castle and Kent Counties in Delaware, and with other Chester County apparatus including Brush 36 from Po-Mar-Lin, Tower 24 from Kennett Square and Engine 23-2 from Avondale.
The open house drew members of the community to learn about the fire service, get valuable fire prevention information especially for children, and to celebrate a warm October evening. The WGFC values its partnerships with area Fire Companies, and thanks the Minquas Fire Company for the invitation and hospitality.
