Volunteers from the West Grove Fire Company are in Trappe, Pennsylvania today as part of a region-wide effort to support a fire company as they mourn the loss of a fallen hero.
Ladder 22 with a crew of 4 is providing ladder coverage for the Trappe Fire Company No. 1 out of the Collegeville Fire Company Station 34 today while the members of Trappe mourn the loss of their Fire Chief. Chief Branden Sisca, who was also a PA State Police Trooper who was killed in the line of duty while assisting a civilian on I-95 last week. The Trappe Fire Company is out of service during this time.
Area fire companies from across Chester, Bucks and Montgomery County, among others, are providing 24-hour-per-day coverage, part of a fire service tradition to take care of fellow firefighters in times of need.
We are grateful to volunteers Tom Glass, Danny O'Connell, Zach Felker, and Dale Glatfelter for taking the day to help out Trappe Fire. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Chief Sisca, the fire family at Trappe Fire Company No. 1, and with the men and women of the PA State Police.
