The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched for a vehicle crash in London Grove Township Thursday afternoon.
The initial report from the Chester County 911 Center was for a car into a pole. WGFC responded with both ambulances, along with Engines 22-1, 22-2 and 22-3. The first arriving ambulance requested advanced life support services due to the patient's condition, which added Medic 94-1 to the call.
The car struck an overhead light pole, sustaining major front end damage. The ambulance crews removed the patient for evaluation in an ambulance, while fire crews blocked the road and checked for hazards. One patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital.
WGFC fire police had Avondale Road blocked for scene safety. West Grove units were clear in about 45 minutes.
