Saturday was a wonderful day to participate with the State Police at the Annual Sunny Day Camp. Planned by the barracks in Avondale by Trooper Kevin Kochka, the State Police host the event to give children and adults with special needs an opportunity to see police cars, police horses, and even a State Police helicopter.
The annual event is held with the assistance of the team at Penn Township who help coordinate the event at Penn Township Park. Great food, hospitality and a chance to see emergency services vehicles and personnel is a favorite for all involved.
The West Grove Fire Company participated with Ladder 22 and Ambulance 22-4, with fire safety materials for the attendees and a small obstacle course for fun! Other fire and ems providers were present, including our friends from the Avondale Fire Company, the Union Fire Company of Oxford, and Medic 94.
Congratulations to the PA State Police and Penn Township for once again putting on this important event.
