At WGFC, it is great when we can show off our fire trucks in the community, and we know that kids simply love to see our trucks.
Last evening, when on-station duty crews went up to Aurora Pizza & Pasta in Jennersville to pick up some dinner, we came across the Timme family from Franklin Township who were also coming in for dinner. When we learned that little Charlie was outside admiring Engine 22-1, all of us saw a chance to make Charlie's day.
So Charlie, Lucy, and Rose jumped into Engine 22-1 to get an inside tour. All three picked up firefighting helmets and put them on, with Dad jumping in to take these delightful pictures. We let Charlie, Lucy, and Rose know that they too can volunteer as firefighters when they turn 16.
Thanks to the Timme family for the kind words, and the community's continued support of the West Grove Fire Company |
