The West Grove Fire Company was called to assist the Union Fire Company of Oxford last evening on a large mulch pile fire at the Scott-Hyponex facility in Lower Oxford Township.

WGFC's Tanker 22 joined with other mutual aid units from Community Fire Company of Rising Sun 8, Cochranville Fire Company 27, Longwood Fire Company 25, and Avondale Fire Company 23 in supporting Oxford. Crews worked for several hours on location for a very large mulch pile that was initially reported to be 1000 yards long and well involved.
