Lancaster County fire companies were dispatched for a fire in a large equipment machinery building on a farm property Wednesday afternoon in Colerain Township. With heavy fire conditions in the building, a request for additional fire department response to support Bart Township Fire Company included a tanker task force to supply water to the scene.

The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched just before 4pm for Tanker 22 to join the effort, with tankers from multiple fire companies in Chester and Lancaster Counties providing a rural water supply for the fire fight over 2.5 hours in 90+ degree heat. The water supply operation shuttled water from a nearby pond to the fire scene, supplying two aerial water streams and multiple handlines.

Tanker 22 returned to West Grove after about three hours.
