The crowd was non stop from before 2pm until 10pm.

To day there were lots of smiles in the kitchen among the crew would be an understatement, despite the very long day.

In the kitchen, 24 turkeys were prepped for cooking and then, shown here, carved for serving.
30+ feet of serving line showcased an arrary of hot and cold food for everyone.
Five turkey fryers were in operation all afternoon as the 21st Annual WGFC Holiday Dinner for first responders was held on Friday.
The ladder bay was packed with those enjoying all the great food!

For the 21st year in a row, the West Grove Fire Company hosted fire, EMS, police and other first responders at the station in West Grove for an afternoon and evening of good cheer and fellowship.
The annual deep fried turkey holiday party held on Friday, December 15th served an estimate 325 people over the course of the afternoon and early evening. This year, 24 turkey breasts were deep fried in five cookers, with an additional 80 pounds of pulled pork, and many more pounds of sausage, kielbasa, salads and sides, all provided at no charge to the extended WGFC first responder community. Attendees came from multiple states and counties all to enjoy good food, laughter and great stories of another successful year serving the community in public service.
What began 21 years ago as a small gathering of some West Grove firefighters learning the joys of deep fried turkeys has blossomed to a big event that is an annual highlight. The core kitchen crew begins the day with breakfast for the team and area friends including the state police and township workers. Then through the morning, the firehouse bays are cleaned and transformed into a place to serve and share a meal with hundreds. The dinner starts being served at 2pm and this year ended after 8, with "fellowship" continuing until after 10pm. Volunteers and career staff helped with the party effort and ran multiple emergency calls as well.
