Area fire companies, including the West Grove Fire Company, assisted the Union Fire Company of Oxford this morning on a building fire in Lower Oxford Township.
Originally dispatched at 8:12am as a kitchen fire in a house, arriving units found fire showing from the second floor of a building operating as Sunrise Produce at 190 Union School Road. In addition to Oxford 21, units assisted from Cochranville 27, Rising Sun 8, Lancaster Christiana 51, Medic 94 and WGFC Units Ladder 22, Squad 22, Tanker 22, and Utility 22-1.
Command 21 advised visible fire was out at 8:48am and the fire was officially under control at 08:55am. WGFC units cleared the scene around 10am.
