WGFC Assists Kennett Regional Fire Department with House Fire

West Grove Fire Company firefighters were requested on a mutual aid call to assist on a house fire in Kennett Township Monday. The WGFC responded with Ladder 22 and Squad 22 along with a number of fire companies from across southern Chester County and Delaware for the house fire on Bayard Road just after 4pm. First arriving units found fire showing from the rear of the residence which began a multi-hour incident with units clearing after about 3 hours. One firefighter was injured during the incident.
WGFC firefighter assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Additionally, Squad 22 handled an odor investigation call at Victoria Gardens which came in at 417pm just a few moments after the house fire.

Smoke and fire was reported to the rear of this Kennett Township home Monday afternoon, as the WGFC provided mutual aid to the Kennett Regional Department.
