Avondale Fire Company's Chef Charlie cooking up some good chicken!

Our thanks to the London Grove Friends of the Park who held a "Meet Your Neighbors" Picnic this Saturday at Goddard Park in West Grove. First responders from both the West Grove and Avondale fire companies displayed equipment and offered kids tours and fire prevention information. On display where Ladder 22, Engine 22-2, Engine 23 and Antique 22. Also, Chefs Guy and Charlie from Avondale and friends cooked barbeque chicken for sales at the event.
Both fire companies were displaying together as they partner to merge their operations into a new department known as Southern Chester County Fire Rescue. Station 26 is expected to begin operations on January 1, 2027. Click on the link below for more information about SCCFR.
